Client is a fintech company building cross-border payments infrastructure using stablecoins to improve speed, cost efficiency, and global scalability.

The Role

Client is hiring a Country Manager to own the Brazil business end-to-end. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has built, run, and scaled a financial technology operation in Brazil before — and who sees stablecoins as the inevitable future of the country's payments infrastructure.

You will be the most senior executive in Brazil, responsible for the full scope of country operations: revenue growth, team building, regulatory positioning, partner relationships, and market strategy. You'll work directly with global leadership to define and execute Brazil's expansion roadmap, while serving as the primary face of Client to customers, regulators, and the broader ecosystem. Brazil is a top-priority market in Latin America. This role carries real weight and real autonomy

What You’ll Do

Own the Brazil P&L

  • Take full accountability for Brazil's revenue targets, cost base, and commercial performance
  • Build and execute a multi-year country growth strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Report directly to global leadership with full visibility into country-level metrics, pipeline, and operational health
  • Make resource allocation decisions for the Brazil business, including headcount, partnerships, and local investments

Build & Lead the Local Team

  • Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing local team across sales, business development, operations, and compliance
  • Create a culture of ownership, urgency, and customer focus
  • Partner with global HR, Finance, and Legal to build the right local infrastructure as the team scales
  • Serve as a player-coach in the early stages — willing to roll up your sleeves on deals, regulatory filings, and partner negotiations while the team is still being built

Drive Commercial Growth

  • Own the full go-to-market strategy for Brazil, targeting fintechs, banks, PSPs, and large corporates
  • Personally lead and close strategic enterprise deals with senior finance, treasury, and payments leaders
  • Build and leverage your existing network in Brazil's payments ecosystem to generate pipeline and unlock key accounts
  • Develop and manage referral partnerships in the FX and banking sectors
  • Position stablecoin infrastructure as a strategic advantage — articulating FX savings, settlement speed, treasury optimization, and new product opportunities

Navigate Regulation, Compliance and Operations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Brazilian regulators, including the Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) and CVM
  • Oversee the local compliance function and ensure operations remain aligned with Brazilian financial regulations, VASP frameworks, and AML/KYC requirements
  • Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape — Pix developments, crypto licensing, foreign exchange rules — and proactively adapt strategy
  • Coordinate with global Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to manage audits, licensing requirements, and regulatory filings
  • Build and maintain relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and required local infrastructure partners
  • Work with global and local teams to ensure customer success and operational execution

Represent Client in Market

  • Act as the most visible leader in Brazil — across events, conferences, media, and regulatory forums
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders, partners, and ecosystem players
  • Provide global leadership with ongoing market intelligence: competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and customer needs
  • Contribute to broader LATAM strategy, with potential to expand scope over time

Influence Product & Strategy

  • Act as the voice of the Brazilian market internally — translating customer and regulatory needs into product direction
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Compliance to ensure market fit
  • Help build the playbook for expansion in large emerging markets

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

  • 10- 15+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or payments
  • 3–5+ years in a country management, general management, or senior leadership role in Brazil
  • Demonstrated track record of owning P&L and driving commercial growth
  • Deep expertise in Brazil’s payments and FX landscape — including cross-border flows, treasury operations, and regulatory environment (BCB, CVM)
  • Experience with crypto, stablecoins, or blockchain-enabled payments
  • Proven ability to hire, lead, and develop teams in a high-growth environment
  • Strong network with senior decision-makers across fintechs, banks, and PSPs in Brazil
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory and compliance environments
  • Native Portuguese and professional English proficiency
  • Based in São Paulo with willingness to travel internationally

Nice to Have

  • Experience with leading financial institutions or high-growth fintechs
  • Experience engaging with regulators on licensing or compliance frameworks
  • Background in treasury, FX trading, or payments operations

  • You understand how Brazil operates — commercially, operationally, and culturally
  • You’re comfortable operating across executive, commercial, and regulatory environments
  • You bring structure to ambiguity while remaining adaptable
  • You believe in the evolution of payments infrastructure and want to lead that shift in Brazil

Compensation / Benefits

  • Total compensation includes base salary, commission, and equity
