Role Overview

We are looking for a Frontend Product Engineer for our new office in Chiasso, Canton Ticino, to join our dynamic engineering team and contribute to the development of modern, scalable web applications that power Mobility’s digital products

.In this role, you will work within an agile product team, collaborating closely with UX designers, backend engineers, QA specialists, and product managers to build user-centric solutions. You will help design and implement high-quality frontend architectures, ensuring performance, usability, and maintainability across our applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Translate product and business requirements into high-quality frontend solutions
• Build intuitive and user-centered interfaces using modern UX frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
• Integrate REST APIs ensuring performance, security, and reliability
• Contribute to system architecture discussions, including API design, domain boundaries, and microservice integration
• Ensure high software quality through automated testing (unit and integration tests)
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
• Containerize and operate applications using Docker and Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions
• Integrate analytics and reporting frameworks to support data-driven product decisions
• Collaborate closely with UX, backend, QA, and product teams to continuously improve product quality
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field [Mandatory]
• Several years of experience in modern web development using frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and working with authentication/authorization concepts (e.g., OAuth2, JWT)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing practices
• Solid knowledge of responsive design and UX frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, or Storybook
• Experience with analytics or tracking tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager)
• Basic knowledge of backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or .NET)
• Basic understanding of container-based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Strong experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams
• Strong problem-solving mindset, ownership, and attention to quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Very good English skills [Mandatory], German is a plus
