Responsibilities:

As a Frontend Engineer at Martian Logic, you drive the development of a high performance, reliable and scalable HRIS platform that powers the people and culture functions across thousands of Australian businesses.

• Design and build engaging, high-performance user interfaces and features for our HRIS platform using React and modern frontend technologies.
• Contribute to major platform initiatives as an active member of cross-functional teams (Product, Design, and Backend).
• Write clean, maintainable, and highly testable code while following frontend best practices and design systems.
• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive React components, pages, and frontend architecture.
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and user experience across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Partner with Backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
• Actively contribute to improving code quality, component libraries, frontend processes, and overall engineering standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in React (including hooks, context, and modern React patterns) and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience building responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling and ecosystems
• Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or TanStack Query.
• A proven track record of delivering complex frontend features with strong attention to UI/UX quality and performance.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product, Design, and Backend teams.
• Practical experience consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS frontend applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Advantageous: Familiarity with design systems, component libraries and modern CSS frameworks.
