AI Engineer

Software Engineer – Hybrid Melbourne CBD – $180,000–$200,000 + Super + Bonus

A well established financial services organisation is hiring an AI Engineer to help build and embed AI capability across the business. This is a high impact role focused on designing and deploying AI solutions that drive real operational efficiency and commercial outcomes.

This is an opportunity to work on AI systems that go beyond experimentation - embedding AI into real workflows across the business. You’ll be joining a collaborative, agile environment with strong investment in AI and clear visibility across multiple teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop and deploy AI solutions across the business
• Build and optimise production ready AI systems
• Work with large datasets to generate insights and support AI initiatives
• Develop and refine prompt engineering approaches for high quality outputs
• Partner with stakeholders to embed AI into operational workflows
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve AI performance

What we’re looking for

• Experience building and deploying AI or machine learning solutions
• Exposure to LLMs and prompt engineering
• Experience working with large datasets and deriving insights
• Ability to build scalable, production ready systems
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Commercial mindset with ability to link AI to business outcomes
