Job Description

As an IT Security Analyst, you will be the primary architect and guardian of our information systems’ integrity. This multifaceted role involves the end-to-end management of security controls—from initial selection and design to long-term operational oversight. You will ensure that all management strategies are not only technically sound but also strictly aligned with legislative mandates, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards. By bridging the gap between compliance and execution, you will play a critical role in justifying and implementing robust defenses that safeguard our digital assets.

Beyond technical implementation, you will serve as a key advisor on physical, procedural, and technical safeguards. Your expertise will be vital in conducting comprehensive risk, vulnerability, and business impact assessments for systems of medium complexity. When threats arise, you will lead investigation efforts using advanced forensic techniques to mitigate damage and prevent recurrence. Additionally, you will champion accreditation and audit activities—with a particular focus on AWS cloud environments—while translating complex security risks into clear, actionable insights for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Cloud Security Expertise: Proven track record in conducting risk assessments and assurance workflows within cloud architectures, with a strong preference for AWS environments.

  • Framework Proficiency: Deep understanding of industry-standard frameworks—including ISM, PSPF, NIST, ISO 27001, and the Essential Eight—complemented by the ability to translate complex risks into clear documentation.

  • Compliance Documentation: Skilled in authoring comprehensive accreditation and certification artifacts required for rigorous regulatory and compliance audits.

  • Audit & Assurance Support: Practical experience navigating audit processes, specifically involving IRAP assessments or equivalent high-level assurance reviews.

  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between technical vulnerabilities and business impact for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Industry Credentials: Prior experience in government or highly regulated sectors is a plus, as are professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or status as an IRAP Assessor.
