Data Scientist

We are hiring for "Lead Data Scientist – (EL1 Level)" candidates for our Federal Government Client as follows.

Contract Duration: 01 months + 24 months extension

Work Location: All states

Clearance: Baseline

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated advanced coding skills across multiple programming languages.
• Strong capability in database management, including working with large scale administrative datasets, data extraction, transformation and integration, and ensuring data quality, integrity and performance.
• Proven experience designing, building and maintaining high quality, robust administrative data pipelines to support analysis across complex policy or service delivery domains.
• Demonstrated experience applying advanced econometric and statistical methods, including causal inference techniques, to support evaluation and impact analysis in policy or service delivery settings.

Desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience working with vocational education and training (VET) and higher education data, supported by strong subject matter knowledge across both sectors and an understanding of relevant policy and administrative contexts.
• Demonstrated practical experience working within the ABS Person Level Integrated Data Asset (PLIDA), including extracting detailed analytical outputs while adhering to ABS legislative, privacy and statistical disclosure control requirements.
