Senior Software Engineer

We require Fullstack Developers with a passion for quality Software Engineering, you can be a specialist in Front end or Back end but are willing and curious to take on challenges to deliver full features from API to web front end in a modern tech stack.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Design and code servers, services and applications that are reusable, scalable and meet critical architecture goals.
  • Work with product owners and QA to clarify requirements/specs and create automated functional and unit tests (BDD, TDD)
  • Support Operations and Service Delivery teams in delivering solutions and troubleshooting problems in production deployments    
  • Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills.    
  • Solve problems, debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues. 


Basic Qualifications (minimum Requirements Needed To Perform This Job)

  • Significant engineering background focused on delivering value 
  • Experience of building secure and performant RESTful services at scale
  • Experience with modern web technologies (Angular, React)
  • Competent at Test Driven Development
  • Strong software design skills
  • Strong knowledge of functional programming using a modern language (Scala, Java, TypeScript)
  • Understand the fundamentals of operating systems and how they work (i.e. Operating systems courses); Container technologies; Internet Services; and/or Managed Services 
  • Have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Agile development methodology
  • Have proven ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multiple design paradigms (Object-Oriented, DDD, Functional Programming, SOA)
  • Experience of RDBMS systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments
  • Experience working with CI/CD
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and modern web technologies (Angular/React)
  • Knowledge of Healthcare and Clinical Trials domain


Education And Certification Requirements

Best Practices:

  • Bsc in Computer Science field or equivalent experience
