Job description

As an Android Developer at BUUT, you'll be part of one of our development teams, driving the development of innovative features in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Using cutting-edge technology and working in 2-week sprints, you'll help create exceptional mobile experiences.

As part of your mission you:

- Actively contribute to daily scrum meetings and key events by asking insightful questions, sharing knowledge, and keeping team discussions focused and productive during planning sessions, refinements, retrospectives, and demos

- Take ownership of user stories by developing sustainable, high-quality features that not only improve user experience and meet immediate needs, but also ensure long-term maintainability and scalability

- Actively collaborate with team members to brainstorm, prototype and implement groundbreaking app features that push technological boundaries

- Drive excellence in releases by rigorously testing functionality, optimizing performance, and delivering experiences that consistently wow our users

- Demonstrate agility and resourcefulness in responding to evolving project requirements, user feedback, and market demands to continuously elevate our products

Requirements

Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level

- Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, while taking ownership and responsibility in a trusted environment.

- Pragmatic problem solver who takes initiative, thrives in a flat organization, and is appreciated for ideas and contributions over years of experience.

- Strong belief in great UI and UX; the designer is the best friend of any app developer

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field

- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably experience in a (fintech) start- or scale-up environment

- Experience in finance or banking is a BIG plus

Technical Requirements Android

- Demonstrable experience with Kotlin and the latest Jetpack APIs; love for Android is a must

- Proficiency with Dagger Hilt, Jetpack Compose, and the MVI/MVVM architecture, with a drive to learn more

- Commitment to secure, reliable, and testable code; you know a real masterpiece will live through the ages

- Passion for automation in workflow; Fastlane is your friend and CI/CD is your passion

- Strong belief in great UI and UX; the designer is the best friend of any frontend developer

- Highly desirable experience in a start-up environment, ideally within fintech

- Experience in finance or banking is a plus
