Job description
We are seeking an AWS Serverless Engineer in a customer-facing consulting role. Our mission is to help organisations scale the use of AWS Cloud and leverage good AWS development practices to achieve business objectives and effectively respond to change.
Your day-to-day role
- Assist organisations with Web/API development using Python, AWS CDK and CloudFormation
- Assist organisations with mentoring customers in the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders at engineering, operations and management level
Your skills
- You have a strong AWS Cloud engineering background with a particular focus on AWS serverless technologies
- A comprehensive experience with Python, CDK and Cloudformation
- A strong track record with AWS Cloud development
- A strong background developing Serverless solutions in AWS including the following services: Lambda, EC2, ECS, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge RDS and Cloudwatch Logs & Metrics
- Experience with Sagemaker inference & GenAI/LLM integration (such as Bedrock) is a distinct advantage
- Experience with distributed applications and services
- A good understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD & testing
- Experience of working in and evangelising Agile practices
- You hold current associate or ideally professional AWS certifications
- You have a Cloud Engineer mindset and you are comfortable challenging the status quo
- You have experience being customer-facing
- You have a positive and friendly mindset and attitude
- You are a team player that proactively shares knowledge and provides feedback
- You are fluent in both spoken and written English
- You can take ideas from concept to implementation and you are an Engineer at heart
- You have some architecture experience
- You enjoy exploring new services and technologies
Flexibility
The role is ordinarily 5 days per week but we are open to candidates that can commit a minimum of 4 days per week.
The role is on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with scope for renewal.
Location
The role is 100% remote. You must hold a European Union passport and reside within the EU. Your limited company must be incorporated within the European Union.
Rate
Euro 450,- to 550,- per day depending on experience.
