Job Description

We are looking for a Scrum Master with a Software Development background to join one of our customers who plays a critical role in the global semiconductor industry, developing high-precision machines used for advanced chip manufacturing. Your role is to facilitate Agile processes, foster collaboration, and help the team achieve its objectives effectively and sustainably.

You will be working with a diverse group of physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists


Responsibilities:

Full-time Scrum Master Responsibilities (First 6 months):

  • Coach and mentor a team of 6 C/C++ Software Engineers on Agile mindset, continuous improvement, and self-organization.
  • Facilitates team and support the processes, helps maintain focus, builds team synergy, and supports internal communication.
  • Facilitate Scrum events (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives) and ensure Agile principles are followed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner (PO) to ensure clarity in the product backlog and help the team prepare for successful Program Increments (PI).


Hands-on Scrum Master (From 6 months onwards):

  • 50% Scrum Master and 50% C/C++ Software Developer
  • Design and build reliable, clean C++ code
  • Involved in systems design using UML. You and your team will build new drivers from the scratch, starting with Software Impact Analysis and come up with correct design decisions and then start with implementations using C/C++.
  • Follow principles of code design for testability, with a focus on low cyclomatic complexity. Write and review test specification documents to ensure high test coverage.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration with functional experts (Physicists, Applied Mathematicians, Mechatronic Engineers)


Requirements:

  • 3/4 years of professional experience as Scrum Master
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution skills
  • Strong experience in C/C++ & Python software development.
  • Embedded Software Development experience with hardware interfaces in Linux environment
  • Knowledge of TDD and principles of designing for testability is a plus. Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (gtest, gmock), automation testing and code quality tools (SonarQube).
  • Experience with system design (UML Diagrams & Relationships).
