PHP Developer

Junior PHP Developer - Lisbon - Hybrid

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Junior PHP Developer to join our growing development team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to build hands-on experience working on real-world projects, learning from experienced developers, and developing their technical skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using PHP
• Work with senior developers to build new features and improve existing systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions

Requirements

• Basic experience with PHP (academic, personal, or commercial projects)
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
• Exposure to APIs and RESTful services
• Understanding of MVC architecture
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms or DevOps practices
