Senior Product Owner - E-Prescription Platform

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of an e-prescription platform integrated with medical laboratory systems, serving the Swiss healthcare market.

The platform supports electronic prescriptions, laboratory test ordering, diagnostic workflows, and secure exchange of medical data between prescribers/doctors, laboratories, pharmacies, and healthcare partners, in full compliance with Swiss healthcare and data protection regulations.

You will work at the intersection of product strategy, laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and agile delivery, contributing to mission-critical digital health solutions.

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for e-prescription and laboratory integration solutions for Switzerland
• Ensure alignment with Swiss healthcare workflows, laboratory operations, and business objectives
• Incorporate regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements into product strategy and prioritization
  
  
  

Backlog & Agile Delivery

• Own, structure, and prioritize the product backlog
• Translate medical, laboratory, and regulatory requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Work closely with engineering, QA, UX, architecture, business and data teams to ensure reliable delivery
• Participate actively and Lead Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
  
  
  

Stakeholder & Domain Collaboration

• Act as the primary interface between laboratory specialists, medical stakeholders, compliance teams, and IT
• Collaborate with external partners such as healthcare providers, pharmacies, and platform integrators
• Communicate product decisions, progress, and risks to senior stakeholders
  
  
  

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Swiss healthcare and laboratory regulations, including:
• Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG / DSG)
• Swiss healthcare and therapeutic products regulations
• Requirements related to electronic patient data and secure medical data exchange
• Support validation, auditability, traceability, and documentation processes
• Monitor KPIs, system reliability, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
  
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with senior responsibility
• Proven experience working on healthcare, medical laboratory, or regulated digital platforms
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional delivery and proven track record of working under this methodology. SAFe Agile is a bonus.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory and laboratory requirements into actionable product increments
• Strong analytical skills, prioritization ability, and decision-making confidence
• Capacity to demonstrate leadership and help to drive focus, consensus in decisions
• Excellent communication skills in an international, multi-stakeholder environment
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Health Informatics, Economics, Business/Marketing or a related field
  
  
  

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Experience with medical laboratory systems (LIS/LIMS) or diagnostic workflows
• Knowledge of Swiss healthcare systems, laboratory accreditation environments, or e-health initiatives
• Familiarity with interoperability standards (e.g. HL7, FHIR)
• German and/or French (spoken and written), ideally in a Swiss context
• Experience working with Swiss or DACH healthcare markets
