Embedded Software & Hardware Architect

Design, develop, coordinate and deploy service layers (SW Solution Block) utilizing company ecosystem enabling targeted markets and applications.

Your responsibilities:

Act as main architect for a globally dispersed team to develop engineering specifications (Software & System) aligned with market requirements and set objectives.

• Analyze and extract requirements for developing applications in a market vertical (such as robotics, factory systems, smart appliances, HVAC, etc.) into an Engineering Specification Document Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ratify a shared understanding of the system’s requirements.
• Break down requirements into components creating a layered & modularized architecture. Design the high-level blueprint for the system, determining its components, their relationships, and how they interact to achieve the desired functionality.
• Balance functional requirements with non-functional requirements. Works closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture aligns with the project’s objectives, is compliant with applicable standards, and meets the needs of end-users.
• Optimize Architectural Designs for balancing Maintainability, Portability, Scalability, Performance, Safety, and Security, Reduced development time and cost.
• Identify and Champion process improvement efforts as needed.

Our requirements:

• Proven Leader: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver complex projects in a customer-facing role.
• Deep knowledge and proven hands-on experience in developing robust software stacks applying modular, flexible and extensible design paradigms and practices.
• Proven knowledge of creating proposals, detailed SW architecture, requirements, and design documents.
• Proven experience in coordinating and managing strategic collaborations with external partners, overseeing offshore development teams, and leading complex, multi-regional software projects to successful delivery.
• Strong Object-Oriented design principles and coding skills in C or C++.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer & cross-functional relationships.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining SDKs, software libraries/modules, RTOS, etc.
• Familiarity with the computer architectures applied in Microprocessor and Microcontroller Systems.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD workflows, issue tracking systems, and requirements creation and tracking systems (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Requirements Yogi).
• Familiarity with Yocto, build systems (e.g., Bazel, CMake), and containerization tools (Docker, OCI).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive architecture decisions from concept to implementation.
