Managing Director & Regional Business Leader – Financial Services (Nordics)
Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Nordic remit)
StaffHost is partnering with a global IT services leader to appoint a Managing Director to lead and scale its Nordic Financial Services business. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing relationships with some of the region’s largest banking, insurance, and capital markets institutions.
As a senior leader, you will hold accountability for a substantial, multi-market P&L and lead a distributed team of senior sales and client executives across the Nordics. The role also carries significant influence over extended delivery teams embedded within major financial institutions.
You will be responsible for driving the next phase of growth across a modern technology services portfolio spanning AI, data, cloud transformation, and large-scale legacy modernisation.
This is a rare opportunity to operate with genuine autonomy and “white space” as a strategic leader within a heavily invested business unit of a fast-scaling global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a material regional P&L, driving sustainable revenue and margin expansion
- Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing Nordic leadership team across sales and client management
- Originate, shape, and close large, complex IT services and transformation deals
- Build and deepen C-level relationships across key financial services clients
- Define and execute the regional growth strategy across priority accounts and markets
- Collaborate within a global matrix organisation to bring the full firm to clients
Required Experience & Competence
- Extensive consulting and/or IT services experience within Financial Services (banking, insurance, capital markets)
- Strong commercial track record in shaping and winning large-scale technology deals
- Experience owning and managing a significant services P&L (multi-million, ideally approaching nine-figure scale)
- Proven experience operating across the Nordic region, with an established industry network
- Strong grasp of core transformation themes (cloud, data, AI, legacy modernisation)
- A driven, growth-oriented leadership mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity
- Experience working within a global matrix organisation is highly advantageous
- Fluency in one or more Nordic languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish) is strongly preferred
