Alcon is the global leader in innovative eye care, offering Surgical & Vision Care solutions. You will join the dynamically developing Alcon Digital Hub as a member of the Generative AI Team. In the position of AI Engineer, you will help solve business problems by delivering Agentic AI solutions to our Business Partners.

IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

• Designing and deploying Agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Azure services, while ensuring robust version control through GitHub Enterprise.
• Building and optimizing Python applications in Visual Studio Code to deliver high-performance, scalable models.
• Researching and experimenting with cutting-edge Agentic AI techniques to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency.
• Performing advanced data analysis, curating datasets, and developing compelling visualizations to uncover actionable insights.
• Developing and implementing descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive models that inform strategic decisions and maximize business impact.
  
  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student in Computer Science or another STEM discipline.
• Proficiency in Python and its key libraries (pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn) as well as experience with Agentic AI frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain) and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Solid understanding of statistical inference, traditional machine learning algorithms, time-series analysis, simulation techniques, and neural network architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, with a passion for tackling complex challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
