Job Description: Scrum Master – Payments Technology

Location: Krakow (6 days a month)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of a modern payments platform built on microservices architecture.

In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Business Analysts, Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure Agile practices are embedded effectively. You will play a key role in enabling predictable delivery, maintaining transparency, and removing impediments to keep the team performing at a high level.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Team Leadership

• Coach and support a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote Agile best practices.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Scrum Facilitation

• Plan and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
• Sprint Planning
• Daily Stand-ups
• Sprint Reviews & Demos
• Retrospectives
• Scrum of Scrums (where applicable)
• Ensure ceremonies are effective, outcome-focused, and add measurable value.

Delivery Management & Reporting

• Provide clear and consistent reporting on sprint progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Highlight risks, dependencies, and impediments in a timely manner.
• Support the Product Owner in backlog management and maintaining realistic delivery commitments.

Tools, Governance & Agile Artefacts

• Own and optimise the use of Jira and Confluence across the team.
• Design and maintain workflows, boards, dashboards, and reporting structures.
• Ensure high-quality Agile artefacts and documentation standards are maintained.
• Partner with Engineering and DevOps leads to ensure accurate tracking of delivery.

Skills & Experience (Essential)

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master within the payments or financial services domain.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, with hands-on experience facilitating ceremonies.
• Advanced expertise in Jira and Confluence (configuration, workflows, reporting).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Business Analysis, Engineering, and DevOps.
