As a Senior Cybersecurity SME – Proxy and Remote Access, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial organization dedicated to safeguarding digital infrastructure and enabling secure connectivity. You will help design, implement, and optimize cutting-edge internet content filtering and remote access security controls, ensuring robust network defenses against emerging threats. This role offers a unique chance to shape the future of secure enterprise environments and grow your cybersecurity expertise at an international level.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering, assessment, and continuous improvement of internet content filtering and remote access security solutions, including hardware proxy appliances and SaaS-based SASE environments.
- Provide subject matter expertise to review projects, ensuring security controls meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps; develop and recommend practical remediation strategies.
- Collaborate across teams to influence security architecture, strategies, and best practices.
- Analyze network and security data (logs, alerts) to support decision-making and validate control effectiveness.
- Coach and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for technical and senior management audiences.
- Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats, industry standards, and technological advancements in proxy and remote access security.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of internet content filtering solutions, including proxy appliances (hardware and SaaS/SASE) and enterprise remote access (VPN, VDI, ZTNA).
- Profound knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risk management principles, and network architecture.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, incident response, and threat detection solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluent), with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and in geographically dispersed teams.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCIE, or similar.
- Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or related languages.
- Familiarity with cloud computing security concepts and operations.
Language required for the role:
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
