Job Description – Business Analyst

Location: Kraków, Poland(2 days/week in office)

Overview

We’re looking for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires someone naturally curious, comfortable exploring data, and skilled at breaking down complex concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and effectively delivered.
• Analyze business processes, datasets, and systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead or support the development of automated data lineage solutions to improve visibility, governance, and traceability across data pipelines.
• Apply generative AI and other analytics methods to automate workflows, extract insights, and enhance decision-making.
• Gather, validate, and document business and data requirements for new projects and enhancements.
• Translate high-level technical designs, data concepts, and analytical outputs into business-friendly language.
• Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with technical teams on corrective actions.
• Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help stakeholders understand performance and support informed decisions.
• Continuously explore data sources, products, and tools with an inquisitive mindset to uncover new value opportunities.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Solid experience in a similar Business Analyst role.
• Knowledge of BCBS 239 is desirable.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Ability to understand complex data architectures.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure within tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in an international environment.
• Familiarity with data management tools such as Collibra, Apache Atlas, or Qlik Sense is a plus.
• Proficiency in interpreting and articulating SQL and Python code is considered an advantage.
