Job Purpose

The TM Analytics Analyst supports the Transaction Monitoring analytics function by performing data‑driven reviews of TM scenarios, thresholds, trends, and risk indicators. The role contributes to the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of AML/CTF monitoring activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, internal policies, and the Bank’s risk appetite.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical reviews of Transaction Monitoring scenarios and thresholds to assess effectiveness and risk coverage.
  • Conduct trend, anomaly, and concentration analyses to identify unusual transaction patterns and emerging AML risk indicators.
  • Prepare regular analytical reports and dashboards highlighting key observations, risks, and improvement areas.
  • Support the identification and documentation of action plans resulting from scenario, timeliness, or quality reviews.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new TM scenarios based on evolving typologies and regulatory guidance.
  • Support the SAR analysis process by providing analytical inputs and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in QR/QC (Quality Review / Quality Control) activities related to TM analytics outputs.
  • Monitor relevant AML regulations and support the localization and maintenance of TM‑related policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to identify TM‑related risks and control gaps.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing analytical documentation and responding to information requests.
  • Collaborate with TM Operations, FCC teams, and technology units to support continuous improvement in TM processes.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in AML Transaction Monitoring, FCC analytics, compliance analytics, or a related function.
  • Exposure to TM systems, scenario logic, and threshold concepts preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, advanced Excel, reporting tools).
  • Understanding of AML/CTF concepts and local regulatory requirements (e.g., MASAK) is an advantage.
  • AML certifications such as ACAMS or ICA are preferred but not mandatory.


Key Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear and structured insights.
  • Good understanding of risk‑based AML monitoring concepts.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple analytical tasks under defined timelines.
