The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own and define the foundation of our platform. You will work across the full stack, making high-impact decisions that shape the architecture, scalability, and long-term evolution of our systems.

Your work will support:

• A modern, high-performance website
• Unified user accounts across products
• Online purchases and licensing
• Cloud-based services (storage, processing, collaboration)
• Browser-based audio processing using WebAssembly

What You’ll Do

• Lead platform architecture design, evolution and implementation
• Make strategic decisions on tech stack, infrastructure, and integrations
• Balance build vs. buy across authentication, payments, storage, and other services
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and services
• Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and flexible for future growth
• Collaborate with the product team to integrate new features
• Define patterns and standards for long-term platform health

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years professional React experience
• Extensive experience designing and building scalable systems
• Strong full-stack understanding (API design, frontend integration, databases)
• Expertise with cloud platforms and modern web architectures
• Proven ability to make pragmatic, well-reasoned technical decisions
• Focus on simplicity, maintainability, and developer experience
• Experience integrating third-party services (authorisation, payments, storage)

Nice to have:

• Experience with WebAssembly or browser-based processing
• Background in media, audio, or performance-sensitive applications

Tech Direction

• Choose tools that balance speed, cost, and scalability
• Design systems capable of evolving toward cloud-native processing and storage
• Support multiple clients (web, desktop, future services) via a unified API

Hiring Process

As part of the process, you will complete a short take-home exercise focused on:

• Platform architecture and decision-making
• A small API implementation

The exercise takes ~4 hours and emphasises clarity, structure, and reasoning rather than completeness.
