The Typical Duties Involve

Analysis and Problem-Solving: Take user requirements and turn them into technical solutions.

Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and fix bugs to keep software running smoothly.

Collaboration: Team up with product managers, designers, and other developers to meet project goals and smoothly integrate software components.

Testing and Code Review: Run unit tests and help with code reviews to keep everything in check.

Quality Assurance: Make sure the software meets quality standards.

Documentation: Keep technical documentation up to date with any changes or improvements to the software.

Continuous Learning: Stay in the loop on the latest .NET technologies and industry trends.

Best Practices: Help bring in new ideas and best practices to the team.





Requirements

We're looking for true experts with C# & .NET technologies. Our client working with .NET core 8, but we'll consider people that have worked with older versions but have a strong handle on the version differences.







They are looking for people that really understand code quality practices - they employ true TDD here, plus they like ‘engineers' that understand the strengths of different design patterns, are informed by the SOLID principles and really get revved up by problem solving.







You've also developed .NET applications on either Azure (ideal) or AWS and the more comfortable you are with difference Azure services, the better.







Other qualities sought

You're a solutions-focused problem solver. You don't just highlight problems, but you come with some answers!







You're an effective communicator, not only to your colleagues so that you all know what each other is doing, but you can also breakdown technical concepts into plain English for people outside Engineering.







Ideally you can help mentor others.







Information

This role does involve 3 days a week in the office, in South Nottingham. There is onsite parking available, plus a free staff canteen for your lunches.







£55-70,000 salary, depending on experience.
