Project Coordinator Job Description

The Project Coordinator supports project managers with planning, execution, and delivery of projects by managing schedules, documentation, resources, and communication. This role helps ensure projects remain organized, on track, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes
  • Track project progress and follow up on action items with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and records
  • Communicate project updates to team members and stakeholders
  • Monitor deadlines and assist with ensuring milestones are met
  • Support budget tracking and resource allocation activities
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate as required
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, standards, and policies

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination, project management support, project controls, operations, or a related role
  • Ability to work in a team environment under project deadline pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Trello, Jira, or Smartsheet
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have

  • CAPM, PMP training, or other project management certification/coursework
  • Experience with project planning and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Technical knowledge of turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems
  • Experience working within the nuclear industry
