Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer (PHP)

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize applications within a cloud-based environment. This role requires strong hands-on development expertise using the LAMP stack, with a focus on scalability and security. The ideal candidate brings deep technical experience, a problem-solving mindset, and a track record of contributing to complex, production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using PHP, Node.js, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven data solutions.
• Modernize and refactor legacy systems to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, product, and QA teams to deliver reliable, user-focused applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Ensure applications meet standards for security, reliability, and performance.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of professional experience with full-stack web development.
• Adept ability to build web applications from the ground-up using PHP, MySQL, Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Experience using Git as a code repository.
• Background working on government or public sector systems.
• Experience with payment processing, financial systems, or billing platforms.
• Solid understanding of application security, scalability, and system reliability.
• Professional exposure to Amazon Web Services.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Docker or containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of government security or compliance frameworks.
• Prior experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership.
