Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to head the Data Science function. This role will be instrumental in shaping the organization’s AI strategy, expanding its data science capabilities, and delivering impactful, enterprise-grade analytics and machine learning solutions.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on expertise, and leadership experience, with a strong ability to connect data science initiatives to tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and drive the long-term vision for Data Science and AI aligned with organizational goals
• Build and scale a high-performing, globally distributed data science team
• Establish robust frameworks, operating models, and best practices across the function

Program Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end execution of advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of models, from development to deployment and continuous improvement
• Ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, and performance

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with senior leadership, including business and technology stakeholders
• Translate complex business problems into actionable, data-driven solutions
• Contribute to pre-sales efforts, solution design, and executive-level presentations

Innovation & Capability Building

• Drive adoption of emerging technologies across AI, including Generative AI, NLP, and Computer Vision
• Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and proprietary assets
• Continuously evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance capabilities

Governance & Excellence

• Implement best practices in model governance, ethical AI, and regulatory compliance
• Define and track key performance indicators to measure impact and drive continuous improvement

Required Experience & Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, or Advanced Analytics
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams or building practices
• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data-driven problem solving
• Proficiency in Python or R, along with SQL
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Hands-on experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid understanding of MLOps and production-grade model lifecycle management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
