Java Microservices Engineer | Contract

London / Edinburgh (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a high-calibre Java Engineer with strong microservices and coding expertise to join a fast-moving programme within a complex enterprise environment.

This role is for someone who can write clean, scalable code, not just maintain it.

What we’re looking for:

Strong Java development experience (Spring Boot preferred)

Proven track record building microservices at scale

Excellent coding standards and problem-solving ability

Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems

Comfortable working in Agile / fast-paced environments
