Senior Product Manager (3-month contract + extension)

Strategic Staffing Solutions' customer, a global leader in cross-border payments offering digital and physical services across 200+ countries, is expanding its financial services ecosystem in Australia and is seeking a Senior Product Manager for a 3-month contract with potential extension.

The role drives the launch of new non-remittance products, overseeing end-to-end delivery from design and business requirements to regulatory compliance, supplier relationships, pricing, and customer lifecycle management. Reporting to the Country Director, the focus is on the Australian market, with potential involvement in other Asia Pacific programs.

What you will do:

• Negotiate with suppliers, including executing large, complex multi-year critical supplier deals, ensuring commercial sense for both suppliers and company
• Initiate workstreams with legal, compliance, and regulatory teams for license applications where required
• Initiate build work with operational teams and oversee design of processes and systems for new products
• Develop customer value propositions, including pricing and operational servicing settings
• Develop and finalize business requirements, direct internal resources, and track progress to keep teams on track
• Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure correct compliance and risk management settings
• Solve problems across payments, compliance, legal, and operations as they arise
• Develop reporting to management during the build phase, work with marketing on customer acquisition and go-to-market plans
• Generate new product ideas to drive revenue, acquire and retain customers, build loyalty, and provide self-service tools, including market and customer engagement
• Assess opportunities by identifying ROI, defining KPIs, and partnering with analytics teams to measure success
• Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality
• Draft business requirements and workflows, prioritize features, author Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with regional teams for delivery
• Provide ongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data-driven approach
• Identify key problems through testing of mobile and web platforms to improve customer experience and meet local regulation
• Continuously improve analytics infrastructure to track, monitor, optimize, and report on acquisition and conversion metrics

What you will need:

• 5+ years’ experience in domestic and international payments (banks, financial services, payment companies, or schemes)
• Experience in process improvement, optimization, operations, card scheme, risk and compliance management (payments, wallets, cards, micro-lending, FX)
• Experience building and launching consumer applications (web and mobile), including mobile and product management preferred
• Strong business writing, numerical analysis, and communication skills, especially with global stakeholders
• Basic understanding of systems development (APIs, workflows, implementation, scalability) preferred
• Experience developing basic wireframes and user journey flows a plus
• Ability to work with matrix teams and manage projects across multiple networks and platforms
• Experience in fintech or financial services (transactional banking, payments, remittances), large corporate environment a plus
