Cyber Security Analyst (SOC Level 2 - 4)

We are seeking a capable and motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our Security Operations function, supporting the protection of critical government systems and information.

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber security events. Working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will support incident response, threat detection, and continuous improvement of security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate cyber security events using SIEM, SOAR, and related technologies

• Conduct triage and analysis of security incidents, providing remediation recommendations

• Support proactive threat hunting and enhancement of detection and response capabilities

• Analyse user behaviour and identify anomalous or high-risk activity

• Contribute to operational and executive reporting on incidents, risks, and trends

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support incident response and remediation

• Assist in the development and maintenance of incident response procedures

About You

• 1–5 years’ experience in a SOC or cyber security operations role

• Demonstrated ability to analyse logs and respond to security alerts in complex environments

• Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and monitoring tools

• Understanding of cyber threat landscape, including tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

• Experience contributing to dashboards, reporting, or playbook development

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
