In this role, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects that are essential to our continued success and transformation journey. NB - this role is a 12 MFTC

About the role

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk registers, and budgets.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
• Oversee procurement, vendor engagement, and contract management as required for project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s project governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues and risks promptly.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and lessons learned.

About You

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project management within the banking or financial services sector.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, or a related field.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with digital transformation or core banking system projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with APRA, ASIC, and financial industry regulatory requirements.
