IT and Security Coordinator - Junior

Security Clearance: Must hold Active NATO SECRET

The IT and Security Coordinator supports the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the organisation’s IT infrastructure. The role combines hands-on technical support, device management, and cybersecurity incident triage within a Microsoft-centric environment.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Microsoft-based digital infrastructure, including security configurations and controls
  • Build, configure, and deploy IT equipment (Windows, macOS, and iOS) for staff
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user technical issues, escalating where necessary
  • Perform initial triage of incidents within the Microsoft 365 environment using tools such as Defender (Security Center) and Purview
  • Review, manage, and escalate security incidents as appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with the security function on all IT security matters
  • Review and improve IT Service Management processes
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g., NCIA and industry providers) regarding IT services
  • Manage physical IT assets and devices using Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager
  • Carry out additional duties as required


Essential Requirements:

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience, OR a secondary education qualification with 4 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support, including configuration and management of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Working knowledge of IT device management and security tools, including: Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, Microsoft Defender
  • Strong administrator-level knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) and Automation tools (Power Automate)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in first-line cyber incident response
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving end-user device issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce: User documentation, Operational procedures, User guides


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of API integration and/or software development
  • Professional certifications in IT or Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, ITIL v4)
  • Experience in innovative or technology-driven environments
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of NATO policies and procedures


Additional Information

A flexible teleworking policy is in place, allowing a mix of office-based and remote work, subject to managerial approval.
