Test Engineer

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join a leading medical technology team based in Helsinki. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of embedded systems used in regulated medical environments.

This role sits close to both software development and hardware, so you’ll enjoy working hands-on with embedded Linux systems while building robust automated test solutions.

Role overview:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded medical devices
• Write and execute test cases using Python and Robot Framework
• Test software running on embedded Linux platforms
• Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and QA to improve testability and quality
• Participate in test planning, requirements review, and defect analysis
• Support compliance with medical device standards and quality processes (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485)

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in test automation for embedded or low-level systems
• Strong skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework
• Solid understanding of embedded Linux environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in them
• Comfortable working in a regulated or safety-critical environment
• Fluent in English (Finnish is a plus, not a requirement)
