Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and scale production-grade Kubernetes clusters across on-prem (RKE1/Talos) and AWS EKS environments.
• Own and evolve our GitLab CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring high availability, scalability, and a seamless developer experience.
• Architect and manage secure hybrid networking solutions across AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Peering) and on-prem infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure provisioning and automation for new and existing clients using modular Terraform.
• Drive reliability improvements by optimizing observability and logging stacks (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, and performance issues in distributed systems.
• Standardize and automate deployments using Helm and GitOps best practices.
• Contribute to infrastructure strategy, scalability planning, and cost optimization initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Deep understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture principles.
• Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including VPC design, routing, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with observability and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, ELK, or OpenSearch.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.

Things we consider as an advantage:

• Experience with Talos OS and Rancher/Fleet.
• Hands-on experience with Nginx configuration and optimization.
• Experience optimizing AWS cloud costs (FinOps mindset).
• Experience with Ansible or scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.

Monthly salary range for this position: € 5000 - 8000 (before tax deduction). The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
