Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a leading company in its sector. We are providing full support for its implementation in Portugal and are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer for its office in Lisbon.

Role Overview

You’ll join our Technology team in Lisbon, working across our full stack (PHP, Laravel, React, and AWS-based microservices) to design and deliver complex features. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers and business stakeholders, ensuring what we build makes sense for both the business and the user.

This role comes with high technical expectations, but just as much emphasis on how you work with others. You’ll take full ownership of your work—from the first line of code to post-release performance—while staying focused on delivering real value to customers.

We expect every engineer to think like a product owner: understanding the “why” behind what they build, challenging decisions when needed, and proposing clear, pragmatic trade-offs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on full stack development.
• PHP and Laravel — strong, production-grade experience. This is the core.
• React — solid proficiency on the frontend.
• Node.js or Go — a real advantage, not just nice to have.
• Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js for server-side rendering.
• Real familiarity with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Solid understanding of microservices, API design, and message brokers.
• Strong English, written and spoken.
