Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

We're building a real-world social platform. Matched meetups that get people out of their homes and turn strangers into friends. It works. Now we need someone to build the tech that scales it.

You'll be our lead full-stack engineer. That means owning the product end-to-end: what gets built, how it's architected, what gets cut. You'll work alongside other engineers, but this is your engine to run.

We're an AI-first team. We expect you to use AI coding tools natively - not occasionally, not experimentally. If you've found that Cursor or Claude Code has genuinely changed how fast you ship, you'll fit right in.

You'll be one of our first 10 team members. Early enough to shape how we build, not just what we build. The decisions you make in the next 12 months will be load-bearing for years.

It's fast. It's sometimes messy. The problems are real and the impact is direct.

The stack: React, Next.js, NestJS, Prisma + PostgreSQL, Vercel, AWS, Docker.

What you’ll be working on

Core Product & Backend

• Build and scale our core systems to serve 100k+ users
• Maintain and upgrade our custom CRM for user, event, and lifecycle management
• Design and improve matching logic and compatibility scoring
• Implement localization and multi-language infrastructure
• Maintain clean deployment pipelines and staging environments

Marketing & Analytics

• Build and optimize landing pages and checkout flows
• Own web funnels, upsells, and conversion paths
• Maintain attribution and analytics across acquisition, funnel, retention, and events
• Automate reporting pipelines and alerts
• Identify and implement best-in-class tools where needed

Internal Tools

• Build internal dashboards for Ops and CX
• Create systems for reservations, capacity, and venue availability
• Enable teams to manage users, events, and operations efficiently

Mobile App

• Develop core app features (chat, referrals, notifications)
• Implement gamification and engagement loops
• Own subscription flows

AI Agents & Automations

• Build AI agents to automate support, ops, and growth workflows
• Use AI for user summarization, matchmaking, and churn insights
• Automate venue sourcing, support tickets, and call center workflows
• Build AI-driven workflows across all aspects of the business

Requirements

Essential:

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Must be fluent in using AI-assisted programming
• Experience with building web applications and mobile apps
• Built or managed at least one working web app with significant traffic
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, adapting to changes and wearing multiple hats
• Ability to identify ideal software and integrate it into the company’s workflow
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently without constant oversight
• A lot of drive, energy, and time.
• Ability to use and implement the latest AI tools in your work
• Ability to work from our office in Ljubljana city center

Bonus points:

• Previous startup experience (especially early-stage)
• Experience building teams from scratch
• You are based close to Ljubljana (or willing to move)
