We are looking for an R&D Engineer to join our NLP team. In this pivotal role, you will drive our strategic innovation initiatives, architecting sophisticated solutions for document intelligence, automated information extraction, and agentic AI systems. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between pioneering academic research and the delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade AI products that redefine the standards of the banking sector.

Job Description:

• Lead the initial stages of AI initiatives by conducting rigorous feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure the viability, scalability, and performance of proposed solutions.
• Synthesize high-level business objectives into detailed technical specifications and architectural blueprints, bridging the gap between conceptual ideas and engineering execution.
• Design and implement advanced pipelines for extracting structured information from complex, semi-structured documents (e.g., financial reports, legal contracts, and forms).
• Build and optimize autonomous agents and multi-step reasoning workflows using state-of-the-art Large Language Models.
• Conduct literature reviews and implement novel algorithms to solve specific banking use cases, bridging the gap between research and production.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy LLMs and multimodal models to ensure high precision and reliability.
• Work closely with AI Architects and Business Analysts to define technical roadmaps and project milestones.

Qualifications:

• Having or pursuing an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience in NLP and multimodal models (e.g., LLMs, VLLMs). Strong grasp of document intelligence techniques (NER, relation extraction, layout analysis).
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Triton, HuggingFace Transformers).
• Hands-on experience in deploying ML models as scalable web services (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) and designing MLOps pipelines.
• Strong ability to implement academic papers and adapt SOTA (State-of-the-Art) methods to real-world problems
• Experience with inference frameworks (vLLM, HuggingFace Accelerate) and large-scale models (GPT, Qwen, Kosmos, Claude).
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, instruction tuning, and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native AI deployments.
• Proficiency in Git, Jira, and Confluence within an Agile/Scrum environment.
