Senior Security Engineer

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across EMEA.

We are seeking a highly skilled Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR Engineer to join our cybersecurity team in Abu Dhabi. This is a full‑time onsite role supporting advanced security automation, orchestration, and incident response operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize XSOAR playbooks, integrations, and automations
• Build custom automations using Python and REST APIs
• Integrate XSOAR with SIEM, EDR, threat intel, ticketing, and other security tools
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to enhance incident response workflows
• Maintain platform health, performance, and version upgrades
• Troubleshoot complex SOAR issues and provide root‑cause analysis
• Document processes, playbooks, and integration standards
• Support continuous improvement of security automation strategy

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR (playbooks, automations, integrations)
• Solid understanding of SIEM/SOAR, SOC operations, and incident response lifecycle
• Proficiency in Python for automation and custom scripts
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, and integration frameworks
• Familiarity with security tools such as:
• SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel, etc.)
• EDR solutions (Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike, Defender ATP, etc.)
• Threat intelligence platforms
• Ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA)
• Knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, and security best practices
• Experience with Linux environments and basic system administration
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and other cybersecurity frameworks

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• Palo Alto certifications (PCSAE, PCNSE)
• Experience with Cortex XDR or other Palo Alto security products
• Background in scripting beyond Python (PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience in enterprise‑level environments or MSSP setups
• UAE experience or security clearance eligibility
