Lead IT Scrum Master

Job Title: IT Scrum Master (Digital Banking)

Duration ; June 2026- December 31 2026 possible extension

Location; Toronto Downtown

Rate; $60-65/h Incorporated

We are seeking an experienced IT Scrum Master with a strong development background to lead Agile delivery across digital banking initiatives. This role will support multiple squads focused on mobile and web enhancements within a fast paced environment.

What You Will Do

• Champion Agile methodologies and mindset by promoting iterative delivery, collaboration, and business value driven outcomes
• Remove impediments and drive delivery by proactively managing dependencies, applying critical thinking, and developing solutions to ongoing challenges
• Facilitate team alignment by guiding discussions, enabling decision making, setting goals, and resolving conflicts
• Support continuous improvement by fostering accountability, improving team productivity, and contributing to business analysis, user experience, and technical discussions
• Collaborate within a scaled Agile environment, working closely with other Scrum Masters and cross functional teams to deliver capabilities on digital platforms
• Communicate progress and outcomes transparently across stakeholders, including status updates, financial tracking, product demos, and retrospectives
• Manage multiple concurrent Agile initiatives in a dynamic and fast paced setting

What You Bring

Must Have

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master with a strong track record of applying Agile principles and practices
• Certified Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner designation
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Proven experience delivering medium to large scale projects in Agile environments
• Expertise in Agile techniques such as user stories, burndown tracking, acceptance test driven development, and continuous testing
• Experience working within SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams

Nice to Have

• Solid background in IT delivery, including software development or systems analysis
• Experience delivering complex web applications using Java, Springboot, and Angular
• Familiarity with enterprise level Agile governance and project approval processes
• Knowledge of test automation tools and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce defects

Additional Requirements

• Experience managing multiple Agile squads within digital or consumer banking environments
• Focus on delivering mobile and web based enhancements
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience in consumer banking is preferred, though broader banking experience is also considered
