Software Engineer

The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering our client, one of the world's largest tech organizations
  • We are looking for a Software Engineer (Gaming)
  • The role will start out as a contract (Renewable)
  • Candidates who are immediately available/ able to start work within short notice will be preferred

The Talent

  • Optimise various systems for best performance across platforms.
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-7 years game development experience.
  • Proficiency in Prompt Engineering and AI skill creation.
  • Proficiency in C#, object oriented programming, and component oriented architecture.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible
  • A habit of writing super-clean, encapsulated, testable, and well documented code.
  • Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.
  • Extensive experience with Unity, including non-game loop features such as asset bundles, shaders, particle systems, and editor tool creation. (Plus Point)
  • Previous experience developing for the current generation of gaming platforms. (Plus Point)

Job Description

  • Work with external Game Studio Developers to accelerate game creation and integration onto company's Platform.
  • Work with internal engineers to provide feedback and guidance to improve product roadmap.
  • Optimise various game systems to achieve best-in-class performance across all supported platforms.
  • Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, testing, product release, and sustaining engineering.
  • Help launch the next top titles on platform - improve code quality and stability across multiple games.
