HSE Intern

Purpose of the Role

The HSE Intern supports the HSE team in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. The role focuses on learning, assisting with implementation of HSE practices, and raising awareness of safety standards across company premises.

Role Overview

• Support the implementation of company HSE policies and procedures under the guidance of the HSE team.
• Assist in ensuring safe working practices are followed within company premises.
  
  

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Support routine inspections and daily walk-arounds to promote safety awareness and good housekeeping, especially on the shop floor.
• Help track the condition and availability of safety equipment such as fire-fighting equipment, first aid kits, spill kits, and safety harnesses.
• Assist in communicating HSE procedures and safety messages to employees.
• Support the organization of safety trainings, workshops, and awareness sessions.
• Assist in accident/incident reporting and basic investigations under supervision.
• Support safety inductions for visitors, new employees, and interns.
• Participate in emergency drills and support emergency response preparedness activities.
• Assist with documentation and reporting related to HSE activities.

• Learn about safety regulations, emergency response procedures, and risk prevention.

Qualifications

• Graduate or student in any field (engineering or science background is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge or academic exposure to health and safety concepts is preferred.
