Artificial Intelligence Engineer

A leading defense technology company with international presence is expanding its team in Belgium (Herstal area) and seeking an AI Engineer to join its Engineering department.

This company is a global reference in precision-guided rocket systems for helicopters and jet aircraft. To support a dynamic production and product development roadmap, they are strengthening their system team with key AI capabilities.

MISSION

As an AI Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary development team. You will be involved in the development of two strategic areas centered on AI:

• Develop AI models to enhance both future and existing algorithms and control laws for Guidance, Navigation, Flight Controls, and Aiming Systems

• Conduct performance analysis and drive continuous improvement of the in-site production line by monitoring KPIs and adjusting AI models based on collected data

This role requires strong organizational skills and collaboration with operations and production services to improve system performance. It is a key position with real career growth potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a key reference for ongoing strategic developments in Artificial Intelligence

• Design and deploy innovative AI tools for production data analysis and NCR management

• Enhance Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) features of guided systems

• Collaborate with Industrialization and Quality teams on calibration and acceptance test processes

• Model physical behaviors and perform simulations to support development

• Contribute to bid preparation and customer interactions

• Participate in firing campaigns and process flight test data

• Ensure continuous AI deployment within production environments

PROFILE

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Informatics, Aeronautics, Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics)

• Experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)

• Strong Python skills for AI and data processing

• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink

• Team player with strong communication and analytical mindset

• Bonus: experience with optimization algorithms, AI deployment, and large data sets (SQL/NoSQL)
