About The Team & Business Line

You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver. Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed, be it front-end, back end, test automation, deployment automation, etc… The successful candidate will use their experience and talent to help drive the delivery of the system, introduce new tech and guide the evolution of our applications.

Your Role

• Support the development and maintenance of cloud solutions for financial and regulatory reporting, Governance Risk Compliance, and internal management reporting
• Assist in implementing data integrations using APIs, connectors, and file-based interfaces
• Contribute to the automation of reporting processes (e.g., statutory, regulatory, board, and management reports) to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
• Help maintain solution documentation, templates, and reusable assets to support the broader team
• Develop API and serverless components using Python under the guidance of senior developers
• Design and develop database objects for data persistence
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Communicate progress, blockers, and questions clearly to team leads
• Stay curious about emerging technologies and how they can be applied within Citco's ecosystem
  
  

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with Python; familiarity with PyTest
• 1+ years of experience with ReactJS and FastAPI
• 1+ years of experience writing queries and developing database objects with RDBMS
• Exposure to serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda is an asset
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to support development efficiency
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks
• Basic understanding of Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, and core software development principles
• Exposure to AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, IAM is an asset
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and JSON processing is an asset
• Experience working on Agile teams is preferred
• Solid foundational skills in debugging, code management, branching, and coding best practices
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good verbal and written communication
• A basic understanding of financial reporting concepts (e.g., general ledger, consolidations) or risk and controls frameworks is a plus
