Senior .NET Developer (freelance)

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to work in a technically demanding environment where legacy systems coexist with modern platforms (broadcasting). This role is not about maintaining outdated code. It is about navigating complexity, improving systems, and making pragmatic engineering decisions across a diverse technology landscape.

What You’ll Work On

• Maintain and evolve a mix of legacy and modern applications
• Work across multiple platforms including cloud and private infrastructure
• Contribute to system modernisation while keeping critical systems stable
• Handle distributed architectures and integration challenges
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems
• Collaborate with teams to standardise and streamline development practices

You will work with a wide range of technologies:

• Backend: .NET Framework, .NET Core / .NET
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Private Cloud
• CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
• Messaging & Streaming: Kafka
• Databases: MS SQL Server, MongoDB, MariaDB
• Version Control: Git-based workflows

This is a diverse tech environment. You need to be comfortable switching contexts and making sense of systems that were built at different times with different approaches.
