Within xTech, we have created a dedicated Life Sciences team that combines strong technical expertise with deep industry understanding.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / AI Lead with strong experience in life sciences, pharma, and healthcare to join our Global team.

This role combines technical leadership, client delivery, and business development. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics and AI solutions for Life Sciences clients, while also helping shape new opportunities, proposals, and offerings.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in data science and AI, a strong understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical business challenges, and the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and delivery of data science and AI projects for Life Sciences clients.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to define business needs and turn them into practical solutions.
• Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to pharma, healthcare, clinical, and biomedical use cases.
• Ensure high standards of quality across project methodology, documentation, and delivery.
• Support business development through proposals, client pitches, proofs of concept, and new offering development.
• Stay up to date on new trends and technologies in data science, AI, and Life Sciences.
• Represent BIP in events and help strengthen the visibility of our Data Science capabilities.

Required Experience:

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or AI, with a strong focus on life sciences, pharma, biotech, medtech, or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data mining techniques
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated exposure to business development, presales, proposal creation, or solution shaping.
• Fluent in professional English.

Nice to Have:

• Deployment of AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Cloud and data platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Databricks.
• NLP, GenAI, and unstructured data analysis.
• Healthcare or pharma data ecosystems and platforms, including familiarity with tools such as Veeva.
