UX/UI Designer Intern — Remote | XR Solutions

Who we are XR Solutions provides augmented reality solutions for industrial operations — from AR-guided maintenance and troubleshooting to real-time remote support on factory floors. We work with companies across pharmaceuticals, automotive, steel manufacturing, mining, and more. Our platform helps reduce unplanned downtime, increase operational efficiency, and give businesses full control over their activities.

We're growing, and we need a designer to help shape what that experience looks like through XR glasses.

The role You'll own the UX/UI design for our head-mounted XR glasses platform — the interface that puts step-by-step instructions, live AR calls, and real-time operational data directly in a technician's field of view. From user research to final delivery, you'll lead the design process and work closely with our product team.

This starts remote, with the option to go hybrid later. The honest details: this is an unpaid internship. Strong work leads to a paid role. We make sure the experience is worth your time — real product, real users, real mentorship.

What you'd do

• Lead the design process end to end — research, workshops, ideation, prototypes, delivery
• Design spatial interfaces for XR glasses — hand tracking, eye tracking, voice interaction
• Conduct user interviews and usability tests with industrial users
• Build and maintain design systems in Figma
• Collaborate with developers in Unity to bring designs into production

What we're looking for

3+ years working in Figma — real fluency, not surface-level use.

2+ years building and maintaining design systems.

AR or spatial design experience (1+ year) is a strong plus.

You're independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable making design decisions without a playbook.

Show us a portfolio with process, not just finished screens.

What you'd walk away with Hands-on design experience on a live AR platform used across heavy industries. Spatial UI work that most designers don't get access to this early. And if things go well — a job.
