Technology / Engineering Director

As Reed Turkey, we are looking for candidates who will work as; "Technology / Engineering Director", having below requirements, for our client which is a leading enterprise IT solutions provider.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the engineering teams responsible for the design, development and operation of company's POS and restaurant technology platform.
• Define and execute technology initiatives aligned with company's product strategy and business growth objectives.
• Oversee software development practices, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies, code quality, DevOps processes, and security standards.
• Drive improvements in Company's POS platform architecture toward scalable, modular and cloud enabled systems capable of supporting multi-tenant deployments.
• Collaborate closely with product management and leadership to prioritize projects, identify growth opportunities and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams across technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, React, Angular, SQL Server, SQLite, Redis, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Ensure stable and scalable infrastructure leveraging cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance product performance and engineering efficiency.
• Mentor engineering managers and senior developers, helping teams solve architectural and technical challenges.
• Establish engineering processes, metrics and governance to improve delivery speed, reliability, and product quality.
• Manage engineering budgets, resources and project timelines in coordination with product and business teams.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous learning across engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director, Head of Engineering, or similar).
• Proven experience in delivering software platforms from concept to production.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices, distributed systems and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience leading teams building reliable, high-performance systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with executives, product teams and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience in developing POS systems, retail platforms, or restaurant technology solutions will be an asset
• Experience with offline-first systems or edge computing architectures will be an asset
• Exposure to AI or machine learning integration in software products will be an asset
• Experience managing distributed engineering teams across multiple locations will be an asset
• Having PMP or similar project management certification will be an asset
