Scrum Master

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support a high impact technology portfolio within a Field Experience value stream. This individual will play a critical role in driving delivery from inception through execution while promoting Agile excellence across both technology and business teams. This is a hands on role focused on coaching, delivery, and continuous improvement, working closely with Product Owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders. The role reports into the Release Train Engineer.

What You Will Do:

• Lead Agile delivery across multiple projects within the technology portfolio
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Guide teams to achieve sprint and Program Increment goals
• Partner with Product Owners to refine and manage product backlogs
• Represent teams in Scrum of Scrums and cross team planning forums
• Coach teams on Agile best practices and help drive high performance delivery
• Identify and remove impediments while proactively resolving delivery risks
• Monitor and improve team velocity, predictability, and overall performance metrics
• Ensure accurate and transparent reporting to stakeholders
• Support adoption and usage of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Ativo
• Mentor teams on the use of AI tools to improve productivity and delivery outcomes
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and self management across teams
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and Agile maturity initiatives

Must Have Experience:

• 8 plus years of experience as a Scrum Master, ideally within financial services or insurance
• Strong experience leading Scrum ceremonies and Program Increment planning
• Technical background prior to Scrum Master role, including experience in development, testing, or business analysis
• Ability to mentor teams across development, testing, DevOps, business analysis, UAT, and integrations
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery frameworks
• Experience identifying risks, gaps, and driving solutions through to resolution
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and similar Agile tools
• Experience coaching teams on AI usage to improve delivery

Nice to Have:

• Experience within life insurance or broader financial services environments
• Experience working within service oriented architecture environments
• Scrum Master certification
• Experience facilitating large scale workshops or cross functional sessions

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required
