Network Engineer

Network Engineer | £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus | MSP

Holding an ACTIVE Palo Alto certification is essential for this position.

We are currently working with a fast-growing, technology-led MSP. As part of their continued expansion, they’re looking for a Palo Alto-focused Network Engineer to join their driven Engineering team.

You’ll provide Level 2 & Level 3 support across customer environments, focusing heavily on Palo Alto technologies. This includes troubleshooting complex issues, implementing changes, and ensuring optimal performance of network security infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead technical onboarding for new clients (configurations, VPNs, monitoring, documentation)
• Manage and support Palo Alto security platforms across multiple environments
• Proactively identify and resolve network/security issues end-to-end
• Perform upgrades, patching, and ongoing optimisation
• Work within SLA-driven managed service environments
• Act as an escalation point for complex incidents
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Support continual service improvement initiatives

What you'll need:

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks (NGFW & security platform)
• Proven background in network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across network/security environments
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. SNMP, Zabbix or similar)
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support environments & SLAs
• Strong communication skills (technical + customer-facing)
• Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals

Certifications:

• Current PCNSE (or equivalent Palo Alto certification) – essential
• Additional Palo Alto certifications – highly desirable

Desirable:

• Experience with Prisma Access / SASE solutions
• Exposure to SD-WAN, ideally within Palo Alto environments
• Knowledge of modern, cloud-delivered security architectures
