We’re looking for a problem-solving, technically sharp Backend Developer to join our team and build the scalable, high-performance systems that power our platform.

About the Role

As a Python Backend Developer specializing in AI infrastructure, you will architect and implement the data processing pipelines and API services that power our agentic AI platform. You will work with our ML engineers to optimize the connection between our data systems and AI models, while ensuring robust and scalable performance across all integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based backend systems using Django and Flask to support our AI/ML workflows and data processing pipelines
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for our LangChain-powered AI components and client-facing services
• Implement attribute-based access control (ABAC) permissions to ensure data security across enterprise environments
• Build and optimize asynchronous processing systems using Celery for background tasks and event handling
• Extend our Django Channels implementation for real-time communication features
• Containerize services with Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines for AWS deployments
• Contribute to performance-critical components written in Rust
• Collaborate with frontend React developers on API implementations

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python backend development experience, with proven expertise in Django and/or Flask frameworks
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including performance optimization for data-intensive applications
• Experience implementing fine-grained permission systems, preferably ABAC, in enterprise applications
• Practical knowledge of asynchronous Python using Django Channels, and experience with Celery task queues
• Experience setting up and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dlt and Dagster
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, particularly with containerized services
• Familiarity with LangChain or similar AI orchestration frameworks
• Track record of building scalable systems in a startup environment where requirements evolve rapidly
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code
• Experience with graph databases or implementing graph-based data structures
• Exposure to Rust or interest in learning Rust for performance-critical components
• Previous work with LLM-based applications or AI agent systems
• Experience with real-time data processing or streaming architectures
• Startup experience is a plus
