Are you a Senior Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist ready to define and build an AI capability from the ground up?

A fast-growing SaaS company in Dublin is hiring its first ML-focused engineer to lead the development of its core intelligence layer. This is a rare greenfield opportunity where you will shape how machine learning is designed, deployed, and scaled across the platform.

Backed by €20M+ in funding and ambitious growth plans to become a global category leader, the company is building a product-driven AI capability from scratch. You’ll work directly with the founders and a small core engineering team to influence product direction, architecture, and long-term AI strategy.

This is a high-impact role with full ownership across the ML lifecycle, strong visibility across the business, and a clear progression path into a future lead or Head of AI role as the team scales.

Your Mission

• Design, build, and deploy ML models to predict user behaviour and optimise real-time decision-making
• Develop and productionise scalable ML systems in a modern SaaS environment
• Lay the foundations for the company’s AI/ML strategy and long-term capability

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering
• Strong Python engineering skills with experience building production ML systems
• Hands-on experience with model deployment and MLOps practices
• Strong understanding of experimentation methods (A/B testing, causal inference, or similar)
• Experience in fast-paced, product-led or startup environments
• A strong ownership mindset and comfort operating in greenfield environments
