Backend Developer (Node.js) - Card team

About The Role

As a core member of our Card Services team, you will own the mission-critical systems defining the Qred VISA experience. This role bridges the gap between high-resiliency financial architecture and the future of AI-driven development, providing end-to-end ownership of features that solve complex cashflow problems. You will be instrumental in Scaling our product across new markets. If you want high-impact ownership in a fast-moving, mission-critical domain, this is it.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain highly resilient backend services using Node.js to support massive transaction volumes and real-time payment features.
• Drive the evolution of our AI-SDLC, leveraging advanced tooling to accelerate delivery speed without compromising on security or performance.
• Ensure system stability by taking full ownership of automated testing and DevOps practices within a microservices environment.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Tech Leads to drive Fintech innovation.
  
  
  

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a senior engineer with a structured approach to problem-solving and a drive to build scalable frameworks. You should be motivated by technical precision and thrive in environments where you can drive alignment across teams and maintain a high bar for code quality.

Qualification

• A few years of experience in backend development, specifically with Node.js.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and microservice architecture.
• Proven experience with RESTful APIs and modern DevOps/Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Background in Fintech, banking, or regulated environments, specifically within cards and payments, is highly prefferd.
• Strong interest or experience in AI-augmented development and integrating LLM-based agents into production systems.

One last thing

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our headquarters in Stockholm. While we encourage a hybrid setup, we do expect you to be at least three days per week at the office. We review applications on a rolling basis and while the start date is flexible, the right candidate can join us immediately.
