We are now looking for a driven Junior Product Designer to join our Hardgoods team for on a temporary five month contract. This is an amazing opportunity to build experience from one of the world’s largest interior design brands.



Job Description

This is a short term 5 month contract.



As a Junior Product Designer you support our Product Designer in developing the most current and commercial assortment for H&M Home. You and your Product Designer work in a bigger cross functional team with Product Developers, Product Planners and Product Managers, all specialized in decorative objects such as pots, vases, light holders and trays.

As Junior Product Designer your main responsibilities are creating and updating artworks, sample evaluation, 3Dmodelling, updating assortment overviews and other administrative tasks to support your Product Designer. You will also support in trend research and sketching in collaboration with your Product Designer.

This role requires strong organizational skills, structure, and attention to detail. To succeed in this role you need to have a strong sense of style, an entrepreneurial spirit and good interpersonal skills. You are motivated by working at a fast pace in a friendly team environment!



Qualifications

We are looking for a driven designer who thrive taking ownership. We also think you have:

  • BA in Interior/Product/Industrial Design or working experience in these field

  • Knowledge of materials, components, and construction relevant to hardgoods
  • Good sense of shape and colour
  • Strong skills in Rhino, Keyshot and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • A customer-centric mindset with clear understanding of our global H&M Home customer
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining quality
  • Self-motivated with growth mindset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • English fluency (Swedish is not necessary)

JOIN US

This is a five-month full time contract, with start beginning of August, based in Stockholm,  You will report to the Product Assortment Designer.
